Since our entry into China in 1991, Kempinski Residences has expanded and has become an integral part of the Kempinski group. Today, Kempinski Residences has become a legal entity with professional management experts, while remaining integrated within the group.

Our portfolio

For more than 110 years Kempinski has created a world of luxury hotels offering history, exclusivity and distinctive luxury. It was only natural that we apply our expertise to creating an exceptional lifestyle unique to Kempinski.


From modest beginnings – our very first serviced residences opened in Beijing in 1991, and a private residence wing opened in the late 1990’s at Kempinski Hotel Bahía Estepona on the Costa del Sol – this integral part of our business has flourished worldwide.


The business has already grown substantially: Kempinski Residences now consists of a portfolio of approximately 2,000 residential units in 22 developments. These luxury townhouses, apartments, penthouses and villas are all either operating or in development in 11 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
